SFU VentureLabs, a world-class business accelerator delivered by Simon Fraser University, congratulates BC’s technology innovators recognised by Rocket Builders.  A record 23 VentureLabs Accelerator program companies, plus 3 more companies affiliated with SFU made the 2018 Ready to Rocket and Emerging Rockets lists.

The 2018 “Ready to Rocket” list, released by BC based Rocket Builders, identifies top private BC companies positioned to capitalize on growth in one of four technology sectors: information and communications technology, cleantech, life sciences , and digital health.   The “Ready to Rocket” lists are the only predictive lists of their kind in North America, requiring many months of sector and company analysis.

“Each year when we choose the Ready to Rocket companies, we are looking for those companies that have best matched technical innovation with market opportunity.   Based on our analysis of market trends, the cohort of companies working with VentureLabs recognized this year are well positioned to bring new technologies to market.” said Dave Thomas, Senior Partner, Rocket Builders.

VentureLabs accelerator programs and services assist these growing companies to scale-up.  Companies engaged with VentureLabs or SFU programs that made the 2018 lists include:

Ready to Rocket: Optigo Networks, Riipen, Aspect Biosystems, MetaOptima Technology, PHEMI Systems, and SemiosBIO Technologies

Emerging Rockets:  VeloMetro Mobility, CuePath Innovation, Curatio Networks, DiaBits, Medimap,  A&K Robotics, Capiche, ClickDishes, Distill Analytics, HockeyData, Instant Financial, Hummingbird Network, Ionomr Innovations, Switch Materials, Talentful Technologies, TeamFit, Virtro Entertainment, Fusion Genomics, Life360 Innovations, and XCo.
