DESCRIPTION:Have an idea for an app but never thought you could actually build it? \nJoin SFU VentureLabs and Experience Ventures for a hands-on online hackathon where you’ll work in an interdisciplinary team to turn an idea into a working app using AI while receiving $350 honorarium for your participation.  \nYou’ll take a business idea from concept to a commercial-ready app using Softmax Data‘s industry-grade AI tools\, with security\, privacy and compliance already built into the development process. \nThis isn’t just a class project. You’ll experience what it’s like to work with a team\, build out a ready-to-use application and pitch your solution to industry experts. \nNo coding experience required. Bring your ideas\, creativity and problem-solving skills. We’ll bring the technology\, challenge and team. \nHow it works\n1. Learn\nKick off Webinar: Privacy\, Compliance & Softmax Data – Nov 5th\nKick things off with a session on privacy and compliance\, followed by an introduction to the challenge and the tools you’ll be using. \n2. Build\nPlan\, Meet\, & Build With Your Teammates – Nov-9th\nYou’ll be grouped into an interdisciplinary team and given a real-world use case. Over the next few days\, your team will turn an idea into a working AI-powered solution using Softmax Data’s platform. \n3. Pitch\nFinal Presentation & Judging Webinar\nPresent your solution to industry experts and judges.
