The session is built for teams that want leverage\, not novelty. \nParticipants will see and work through the workflows that matter most for growing companies\, including digital twins\, avatar-led product and outreach videos\, multilingual communication\, Video Agent\, and the emerging role of live interactive avatars for customer-facing support and training. Today\, HeyGen also supports integration paths via tools like HubSpot\, Zapier\, Make\, and Canva\, making the platform much more relevant for companies thinking beyond one-off videos toward repeatable systems. \nBy the end of the session\, participants will have a clearer understanding of where avatars can create ROI inside a business\, a stronger sense of what good implementation looks like\, and at least one draft asset or repeatable use case they can build from. \nWhether you are trying to improve outbound response rates\, create more scalable onboarding\, localize messaging for global markets\, or give your team faster ways to produce polished video communication\, this session will show you how to move from curiosity to practical application. \nWho should attend: founders\, marketing and growth leads\, sales teams\, customer success teams\, innovation leaders\, and anyone responsible for scaling communication inside a tech company. \nWhat to bring: a laptop\, a free HeyGen account set up in advance\, and one real message\, use case\, or audience you would like to build for during the session. \nAbout John Zubak\nJohn Zubak is an AI consultant\, speaker\, and entrepreneur-in-residence who helps founders and growth-stage companies identify practical\, high-impact ways to use artificial intelligence. His work focuses on avatars\, voice cloning\, workflow automation\, and AI-assisted content creation\, with an emphasis on helping organizations strengthen communication\, training\, customer engagement\, and scalable delivery. As part of HeyGen’s global ambassador community\, John brings both strategic insight and hands-on implementation experience\, helping teams turn AI from an interesting idea into a real business asset.

SUMMARY:Bring Global Talent to Your Business with the EYE Program
DESCRIPTION:About the Event\n\n\n\nWant new ideas and global connections? Discover how hosting a European entrepreneur can spark fresh thinking in your business. \n\n\n\n\nHost a European Entrepreneur\nGreat ideas often come from meeting new people and encountering different perspectives. Hosting a European entrepreneur creates space for exactly that. \nThrough the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program\, Canadian companies can connect with early‑stage founders from across Europe. These founders spend one to three months inside a host business\, contributing their skills\, sharing new approaches\, and building real working relationships. \nHosts benefit in several meaningful ways: You gain fresh market insights\, explore new international opportunities\, and engage directly in cross‑border activities. At the same time\, working alongside a motivated founder can strengthen your company’s growth potential by introducing new ideas\, energy\, and ways of thinking. Throughout the process\, professional intermediary organizations help match you with the right entrepreneur to ensure a smooth collaboration. You also gain added visibility and credibility through the official Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs labels and certification. \nAnd since the European Union provides financial assistance directly to the visiting entrepreneur\, there is no cost for hosts beyond the time they choose to invest. \nThis session will walk you through how the program works in Canada\, what hosting looks like in practice\, and why so many organizations use it to spark innovation and explore international opportunities. There’s also a chance to meet Spanish EYE program managers from the Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias and explore opportunities for international business collaboration. \nThe event is a good fit for small and medium‑sized businesses\, founders\, innovation‑driven teams\, and anyone interested in global collaboration or future market expansion. If new ideas\, new connections\, or a simple path into European markets are on your radar\, this event offers a practical place to start.

SUMMARY:Software Leadership Peer Roundtable May Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A year-long\, monthly roundtable for senior technical leaders to explore how software engineering and leadership must evolve as AI agents generate most of the code. The focus is on redefining quality\, governance\, architecture\, and engineering principles in an AI-first world where code is no longer the primary output. \nOVERVIEW\nThis roundtable brings together senior technical leaders — CTOs\, architects\, and experienced developers — who guide teams\, shape technology strategy\, and influence how software evolves within their organizations. Our intent is to foster a sustained\, high-value conversation among peers navigating similar challenges. \nOver the next year\, our monthly meetings will explore a central theme that is rapidly redefining our field: \nWhat is the role of software developers and engineering leadership when AI agents can generate the majority of the code? \nWe are witnessing dramatic advances in AI-assisted development. As AI-generated code becomes more capable\, abundant\, and disposable\, the nature of our work is shifting. This raises strategic questions that will define the future of our discipline:\n– In a world where we rarely write code\, and might not need to read it at all — how do we ensure quality\, correctness\, reliability\, and maintainability?\n– How do oversight mechanisms and engineering principles evolve to prevent errors\, align systems with business intent\, and manage risk?\n– What design patterns\, modular structures\, or corrective mechanisms will be required to offset the high risk of compounding mistakes and the inherent limitations of agent-driven development?\n– Which long held principles of software engineering should we be abandonding and which should we continue to embrace? \nThroughout the year\, we will examine these questions from technical\, organizational\, ethical\, and operational perspectives. Our goal is not only to understand where software development is heading\, but also to shape how we lead our teams through this transition. \nThis series will help us collectively consider how to architect\, validate\, and govern systems in a future where the code itself is no longer an important output of the task of creating software. It is an opportunity to define what software engineering becomes when the artifacts we produce—and the practices we rely on—must adapt to an AI-first development environment. \nWe look forward to your insights and your leadership as we explore this evolving landscape together. \nFor more information on joining VIATEC Peer Roundtables\, please contact Rob Bennett by e-mail at rbennett@viatec.ca describing how you meet the eligibility criteria for this roundtable.
