Alison Berg holds 20 years of strategic marketing and HR experience, having worked for early-stage innovators in big data, telecommunications, and high- performance computing, as well as non-profit and public sector organizations. She is known for her ability to truly understand her audience – customers, partners, influencers, investors, and team members – to deliver strategic programs that engage and deliver results.

Alison has played a change agent role in several of BC’s most innovative start-up technology companies as they transitioned from small 5-person shops to over 100-person companies purchased in some of Canada’s largest acquisitions. Alison developed both HR and marketing strategies at Abatis Systems, which was acquired by Redback Networks for over $1B. Alison also co-founded OctigaBay, a supercomputing startup acquired by Cray for $155M, as well as a successful e-commerce business. Alison led marketing at  Innovation Boulevard – a health-technology hub – and served as an Executive in Residence, mentoring early-stage companies.

Alison moves fluidly between vision, strategy, and hands-on implementation. Her work is deeply informed by her early career in HR, with its commitment to excellence in communication, culture-building, and community engagement. She holds an MBA in Marketing, a BA in English, and an HR certificate.

Alison is the past president and board member of Soroptimist International of the TriCities, an international service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. She emcees and speaks at public events and is an active community volunteer. She loves chocolate, wine, Netflix, and her kids (almost always in that order.)
