TiE CXO – Early stage fundraising: A global perspective

Startups need capital to grow, however the process of raising is often long, arduous, and complex; and even more so with the current economic climate. What lessons can Canadian founders learn from other tech ecosystems?

TiE is hosting a panel of global investors to talk about early stage fundraising from a global perspective.

TiE Vancouver

TiE Vancouver Angels is a not-for-profit angel investor forum with a mission to fund and foster Canadian entrepreneurs. We are part of TiE Global Angels – an umbrella organization representing the TiE chapters worldwide and their affiliated angel groups. Founding chapters include Silicon Valley, SoCal, Boston, Vancouver, and Atlanta. TiE Incubation Lab

Located in Vancouver BC, the TiE Incubation lab is focused on providing high potential Canadian startups with mentorship and advisory from local, US and global experts from TiE’s worldwide network; hands-on support in the fundraising process; and access to TiE’s worldwide investor network.

Selected startups receive the following:

• Access to TiE’s network of Canadian, US and global strategic advisors

• Mentorship from founders with successful exits in the sector, and experts who specialize in what a particular project needs (growth and traction, expertise in a specific sector or a geographical region etc.)

• Support with preparing for the fundraising process

• Investment from members of TiE Vancouver Angels

• Access to the worldwide investor network of TiE Global Angels for further investment

TiE CXO is aimed at BC’s startup and scaleup operators, and includes highly acclaimed and popular event series featuring local and global experts in building and funding of startups The programming is being offered in partnership with TiE Silicon Valley.
