In celebration of International Women’s Day 2024, we recognized the achievements of women entrepreneurs and leaders across Canada and brought awareness to issues of discrimination in the workplace.

On March 7, we hosted the third and final session of our “Dive in Deeper: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” web series. In Session 3: “Are We There Yet?: A 2024 Outlook on Women in the Workplace”, we dived into the current status of women in the workplace. This session covered the gaps and challenges women face in the workplace, including representation in leadership, the labour market, the recruitment process, women in various professional spheres, and pathways to bridging the divide and creating support for women at work.

This session was organized by SFU VentureLabs in collaboration with the Diversity Institute, featuring speaker: Nancy Mitchell, Director at Diversity Institute.
