The workshop is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, in collaboration with DIGITAL, to explore the new EU Digital Services Act (DSA). As the DSA takes full effect, it is redefining global standards for platform accountability, algorithmic transparency, and data governance.

This workshop will bring together experts from Canada and Europe to examine the DSA’s key pillars and their implications for innovation, privacy, compliance, and cross-border collaboration. Participants will gain insights into how the DSA affects startups, SMEs, and large enterprises, and explore strategies for privacy-first innovation, ethical algorithmic practices, and global regulatory alignment.
