Presentation 1: Developing an IP Strategy with Lessons from Biotech

Speaker: Dr. Terry Thomas, ex Chief Scientific Officer and VP R&D Stemcell Technologies

Dr. Thomas is the co-inventor of 14 patents, negotiating 139 license agreements and more. By the end of this presentation, you will come away with an understanding of:

• Common pitfalls limiting the value of your IP or wasting time and money
• IP considerations during collaborations, test sites, public disclosures and even product development
• Leveraging your IP to maximize corporate benefit

 

Presentation 2: Budgeting for Trials and Paid Pilots in Cleantech and Biotech

Speakers: Finlay MacNab and Todd Farrell

Learn how to execute a pilot, develop a budget and timeline, get paid and lock-in success with partners. You’ll learn about:

• Budgets for trials and paid pilots
• Timelines and simple proformas
• Contract, deliverables and next steps
