Presenter: Benjamin N’Goran

Title : Entrepreneur-in-residence

Is part of the Black Entrepreneurship Startup Program team, Benjamin as Bilingual, Entrepreneur-in-Residence works primarily but not exclusively, with young Black entrepreneurs and act as a resource in the idea and business plan development phase. Benjamin provides education, coaching, advisory services, and additional support around starting a business and building a business plan.

Benjamin is a Certified Coach Practitioner with 10 years’ experience as a learning and development professional. Prior to joining Futurpreneur Canada, Benjamin worked for different companies in Canada and Africa. Some of his positions were learning and development lead for Newcrest Mining Limited, an Australian gold mine company on their project in West Africa. At this position, he developed, designed, and run several training programs to ensure employees are skilled and competent to support achieving the company’s objectives. Benjamin also worked as a business consultant and coach for Société Écomonique de l’Ontario (SEO) in Toronto where he designed and delivered several pieces of training on management, leadership, personal development for entrepreneurs, and future entrepreneurs. He also had one-on-one coaching sessions to help participants successfully launch or grow their businesses.

Benjamin is a community activist with a focus on helping African immigrants build wealth and become financially free. He was the Vice president of the Board of Directors of ACFO-Toronto, a francophone’s political, social, and economic advocacy association across Ontario at its Toronto section. He is the current Vice president, Public Relations of Ebony Toastmasters, a black-founded and led toastmasters club in downtown Toronto.
