Impact Investment and Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship
Investment into Indigenous women-owned businesses is the single most important investment that will foster a thriving global economy. In 2020, the Global Impact Investing Network’s flagship report found that there are $715 billion impact investing assets under management worldwide. A 2021 report by the Reconciliation and Responsible Investment Initiative found that Indigenous rights and knowledge are being recognized as material opportunities that can strengthen investment outcomes. How do we ensure investment into Indigenous women-owned businesses are a part of every impact investment conversation, and what opportunity does this present for your company?
On September 29th from 2:30-3:30pm CDT (3:30-4:30pm EDT), you are invited to a live virtual event where you will hear from 3 Indigenous women who are experts in this area:

Sara Wolfe – Director, Indigenous Innovation Initiative, Grand Challenges Canada
Sage Lacerte – Founder & CEO, Sage Initiative
During this engaging one-hour discussion, you will learn about the current opportunities for impact investment in the Indigenous ecosystem as well as how your company can foster greater inclusion of reconciliation and Indigenous rights considerations across the investment value chain. Learn from 3 thought provoking industry leaders about how Indigenous women are ready to co-create a new era of investment partnerships in a truly reciprocal practice.
