About the program:
Lab2Market Validate is a 4-month program to test and evaluate your idea in an entrepreneurial landscape. Throughout the program, you will discover your passion for entrepreneurship, build an entrepreneurial skill set, and connect with the network you need to turn your ideas into successful businesses.

Program Highlights:
– Build your entrepreneurial skills: Learn and practice key entrepreneurial skills focused on market research, customer discovery, and IP/patent landscape.
– Grow your skills: Gain access to a network of experienced researchers and entrepreneurs who provide valuable insights and mentorship.
– Get up to $15,000 in funding available per accepted applicant team.
– Expand your network: Access to mentors, industry experts, and potential funders to support your commercialization journey.

Eligibility:
– A full-time graduate student in a Masters, Ph.D., or Postdoc program who has developed or is currently developing tech-based university research.
– The technical lead must be the applicant’s academic supervisor, and able to receive tri-council funding.
– Applicants must be eligible for Mitacs Business Strategy Internship (BSI) program.
