On February 27th, we had the pleasure of hosting 40+ of our members, partners, stakeholders, and the startup community for an informative session on understanding corporate governance from an investor’s point of view, located at the SFU VentureLabs headquarters and online. This hybrid event was hosted in partnership with SFU VentureLabs and Diversity Institute.

We invited our speakers and industry professionals to lead an engaging discussion on corporate governance from an investor’s point of view, with a Q&A session from our in-person and online attendees.

Our speakers also covered topics like:

  • Investor’s preferences and must-haves
  • How investors have differing viewpoints on governance, especially when they are an active board member

Our guests speakers were:

  • Roger Kuypers, Fasken
  • Todd Farrell, SFU VentureLabs
  • Crystal Lo, InBC
  • Moderated by Floyd Sijmons,  SFU VentureLabs
