SFU VentureLabs company, Medimap raises $3.5 million seed round
Vancouver-based venture Medimap makes it easy for patients to compare wait times at their local clinics. Medimap has been scaling quickly since Blake Adam started the company in 2015. Currently, more than 70% of walk-in clinics across Canada use Medimap’s software.
In August 2021, Medimap closed $3.5 million in seed financing led by Tiny Capital and other investors. Medimap’s total funding to date is $4.5 million.
“Millions of Canadians already rely on Medimap for access to care in their community and this funding will allow us to have an even greater impact,” said Andrew Wilkinson, Tiny Capital’s co-founder and managing partner. “We’re very excited about this next phase of growth for the company.”
Medimap receives entrepreneurship support and mentorship from SFU’s science and tech business accelerator, VentureLabs.
