SFU VentureLabs Member, A&K Robotics, Secures $8 Million in Series A Round

A&K Robotic’s Mobility Pods in Action at YVR: Vancouver International Airport

SFU VentureLabs member, A&K Robotics secures $8 Million in Series A funding round. Led by BDC Capital’s Industrial Innovation Venture Fund with additional efforts from Vantage Futures, the funding round permits A&K to grow their vision in promoting autonomous mobility.

Cruz, is the name of A&K’s electric and self-driving vehicles that allow passengers to efficiently travel through airport terminals and other crowded spaces.

A&K’s objective with the new-found funding is to transition their current Cruz pilot programs into permanent initiatives across North American and European regions through heightened manufacturing, research and development, and partnerships with key airports.

“We’re scaling production, accelerating R&D, and working with leading airport operators to integrate autonomous mobility into everyday operations. The focus is turning proven technology into real infrastructure at scale.”, Matthew Anderson, A&K Robotics CEO

This funding round contributes to fulfilling A&K’s long term vision of making mobility accessible everywhere.

“We want to make mobility seamless everywhere—not just in airports, but in cities, transit systems, and everyday environments—so people can move independently wherever they are”, Anderson explains.
