SFU Partners with VentureLabs Alumni, Moment Energy to Boost Sustainability of Canada’s Fastest Academic Supercomputer

SFU VentureLabs Alumni company, Moment Energy has partnered with SFU to help increase the sustainability of the nation’s fastest academic super computer. Along with the Cerio and Corix companies, Moment Energy has reached an impressive milestone by collaborating with Fir, Canada’s fastest and most powerful supercomputer by heightening its sustainability and efficiency.
Founded in 2019 by four SFU alumni, Moment Energy is now installing a reliable backup power system and implementing sustainable practices for the upkeep of the super computer as well as exploring other clean energy and energy storage initiatives at the university.
