Tim Hortons announced the celebration of Waste Reduction Week with three initiatives that commit to sustainability. SFU VentureLabs company, Intuitive AI is piloting their recycling technology at 12 Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada. The product recognition technology quickly scans items and guides customers to compost and recycle.

Customers can find Intuitive AI’s technology at select test restaurants in Vancouver now and more will be added in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia by the end of 2021.
