SFU VentureLabs Gives Out Prizes to Emerging Startups at Annual New Ventures BC Competition

Vancouver, BC —The vibrant provincial startup and innovation scene was in full swing at the New Ventures BC Competition awards ceremony on Thursday night, where numerous emerging startups were recognized. Celebrating BC’s ecosystem of talented companies, the ceremony awarded $250,000 in prizes to standout startups.
Among the evening’s highlights, SFU VentureLabs along with sponsors proudly donated in-kind prizes to each of the Top Three winners—TIMEZYX, SkyAcres Agrotechnologies Inc., and skiKrumb Trackers.
The Top Three winners get a free 6-month membership to SFU VentureLabs, one-on-one advisory and coaching, mentoring, and access to our facilities including hotdesking, meeting rooms, and our onsite event space.

In addition, SFU VentureLabs presented the Top Science-Based Company Award to CereCura Nanotherapeutics with a 12-month membership with mentoring, marketing intelligence, curated introductions to investors, and participation in the Marketing PowerUp program, an offering only available to VentureLabs members.
