VentureLabs’ year in review is a celebration of our successes and an opportunity to reflect on our support services for the innovation community. In 2024, we brought in more intellectual property and venture development support. We also started multiple event series on EDIA, corporate governance, business development, and a popular expert breakfast hour. Our accelerator member companies celebrated big wins in achieving Series A funding, showcasing to international delegations making up 17 nation-states, and entering new markets.

Since we were established in 2012, we’ve built an incredible community of ventures and partners. VentureLabs is part of SFU Innovates, the university’s innovation strategy to solve challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship. Our partners include venture and angel capital firms, law firms, accounting services, industry leaders, leading universities, government, and accelerators across Canada. We collaborate to support innovation, acceleration, and the scale-up of Canadian science and technology businesses.
